009 of 123. Neptune's Fountain is situated in Signora square, in front of the Palazzo Vecchio. It shows Neptune in a chariot drawn by sea horses, symbolizing Florence's command of the Mediterranean. It was sculpted by Bartolomeo Ammannati and Giambologna between 1563-65 to celebrate the opening of a new aqueduct. | |||
