	084 of 145. Our main purpose for visiting Granada was to tour the Alhambra....seen here in the distance....a grand Moorish fortress/palace with beautiful gardens. Originally constructed as a fortress in 889, the complex underwent frequent additions and changes during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Its walls enclosed a fortress, baths, mosques, industries, and a number of palaces and gardens. With more than 2.3 million visitors a year, the Alhambra is Spain's most popular attraction.
