124 of 182. At Plaça Ramón Berenguer el Gran, there is a section of the Roman wall, dating from the early 4th century AD, crowned by the Gothic chapel of Santa Àgata. The chapel was built in the 14th century as part of the Royal Palace, the Palau Reial. If you look closely,the Roman wall was constructed with materials retrieved from other buildings which served as a foundation for the more elegant chapel above.
