	033 of 244. Adjacent to the marina was the Santa Maria Della Catena, (Church of Saint Mary of the Chain). It was built between 1490 and 1520. The name catena (meaning chain) is derived from a long chain fixed to an exterior wall that once served as the entrance closure for Palermo's ancient port.
