	216 of 226. The historical period of the Sicilian Baroque period left majestic buildings and monuments such as the clock tower, symbol of the noble county of Modica. The clock tower stands high on the hill, located on the ruins of the ancient Castle of the Counts. The large mechanical counterweight clock, still fully functional, was placed on the ruins of a post-earthquake medieval watchtower castle in 1725.
