| 190 of 226. October 8th. We've recently been watching a very popular TV series from Italy that aired between 1999 and 2021 called "Inspector Montalbano". It's based on a character created by Italian writer Andrea Camilleri in a series of novels and short stories, each episode of `Inspector Montalbano' tells a stand-alone story of the inspector's astute detective work in and around the fictional Italian town of Vigata. The filming took place in more than a half dozen picturesque towns in south-eastern Sicily. We were fortunate to have found a day-long tour that would bring us to some of the familiar locations filmed in the series. |
