| 055 of 152. The fountain is located at the junction of three roads (tre vie), hence the name. It is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world. We were fortunate to have been here in May as, unbeknownst to us, a 20-month, 2.2-million euro restoration of the fountain was to take place in just a few weeks. As of July 2014, peak summer tourist season, the fountain pool was empty and scaffolding covered the fountain and building. it is expected to remain closed until October of 2015. |
